Product Description
The Parlé TCM-1 consists of a pendant microphone and a plenum box that houses the digital signal processing used for Beamtracking. Because the DSP is on board, the microphone actively tracks conversation and intelligently mixes talkers so far-end participants hear the discussion clearly, without manual gating or lobe aiming. The pendant hangs from the ceiling on a user-adjustable height cable, making it a practical AVB Beamtracking pendant microphone for rooms where a table-top or ceiling-flush microphone is not ideal. Audio, configuration, and control all travel over a single category cable using an AVB/TSN network, which simplifies installation and reduces cabling in the rack and ceiling. The plenum box connects to the network switch over one RJ-45 and provides a second RJ-45 so up to two TCM-1EX expander microphones can be daisy-chained for larger tables, for a maximum of three microphones per chain. Signal routing, mixing, equalization, dynamics, and delay are all configured in Tesira design software alongside the rest of the room's audio. The TCM-1 is powered over the network by PoE (IEEE 802.3at Class 3), so no local power supply is required at the microphone. It is evaluated to UL 2043 and suitable for use in air-handling (plenum) spaces, which matters for open-ceiling and code-driven commercial deployments.
