The Biamp EasyConnect USB3-30-CC is a 30-foot (10 m) active USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type C to Type C cable for commercial AV installations and long-distance conference room connectivity. Its active design with multi-mode optical fibers carries SuperSpeed data, up to 60 W of USB Power Delivery, and DisplayPort Alt Mode video across distances that exceed passive USB limits. It is engineered for table-to-display and table-to-rack runs in larger meeting spaces. This active USB-C cable is part of the Biamp EasyConnect cable line used to standardize AV system wiring.
Product Description
The EasyConnect USB3-30-CC solves the common problem of connecting USB-C sources and peripherals over long in-room distances where passive cables cannot maintain the signal. Its active construction combines tinned copper conductors with multi-mode optical fibers to carry USB 3.2 Gen 1 data at up to 5 Gbps across a full 30-foot run. The cable supports DisplayPort Alt Mode (DP1.4), HDMI through DP Alt Mode, and audio over USB or DisplayPort, enabling a single USB-C cable to move video up to 3840 x 2160 at 30 Hz alongside data. Up to 60 W of Power Delivery (subject to the Type-C port) can charge or power a connected device, and PD 2.0 and 3.0 profiles are supported. An E-Marker configuration chip and Billboard device capability let host systems correctly identify and manage the cable. This makes it well suited to ceiling-mounted cameras, wall displays, and floor-box connections in a conference room, boardroom, or multi-purpose room. Integrators can pair it with cabling from the Biamp collection, and for shorter Type C to Type C runs the EasyConnect USB3-15-CC (15 ft) covers the same connection at a reduced distance. The USB3-30-CC carries a two-year limited warranty and is RoHS and REACH compliant for commercial deployment.
