Product Overview
The Barco XDX-4K40 (R9010403) is a 40,000-lumen native 4K (4096×2160) 3-chip DLP projector with a pure RGB laser light source. Built for themed entertainment and high-end attraction work, it pairs the higher resolution and wide-gamut color that demanding content requires. The projector ships in a rugged rigging frame for protected handling and install, and arrives without a lens so integrators can match an XLD optic to the venue. A sealed optical assembly with integrated cooling supports long-term, reliable operation.
Product Description
The XDX-4K40 produces native 4K images from three 1.38" DC4K DMDs and a pure RGB laser source rated for 40,000 hours of brightness stability. As the product image shows, the engine is mounted inside a protective rigging frame that simplifies rigging and on-site handling. Its DCI-P3 color gamut, covering 98.5% of Rec. 2020, delivers the realistic, saturated images that immersive attractions depend on. The unit is sold without a lens and is compatible with a range of Barco XLD prime lenses in both high-brightness and high-contrast variants; the high-contrast range effectively doubles contrast for a modest 15% brightness reduction. Pair it with an ultra-short-throw option such as the XLD 0.38:1 UST 90° lens. For UXGA laser phosphor alternatives in the same large-venue family, compare the UDX-U45 and UDX-U40, or browse the full Barco collection. Modular components, including individual laser plates, can be swapped on-site by a trained technician, and the cloud-based Barco Insights Management Suite provides remote health monitoring for high uptime.
