Product Description

As a hanging microphone, the U853PMU suspends discreetly above performers and captures a focused area thanks to its UniLine (line-cardioid) pattern. Interchangeable elements with omnidirectional, cardioid, and hypercardioid patterns are available, so the same installation can be re-tuned to the room.

An 80 Hz UniSteep low-cut filter reduces pickup of low-frequency ambient noise, and UniGuard RFI-shielding technology guards against radio-frequency interference common in installed AV environments. The microphone ships with a 7.6 m (25') attached cable that connects to the included AT8534 wall/ceiling plate power module through a TA3F-type connector, and it requires 11V to 52V phantom power.

An adjustable steel wire hanger, a two-stage foam windscreen, and a 5/8″-27 stand adapter are included for flexible mounting. For surface-mount pickup in the same room, the U851RbO boundary microphone is a complementary UniPoint option.
