Product Overview
The Audio-Technica ATW-3211N/831 is a network wireless lavalier microphone system for managed AV environments where technicians need remote monitoring and control. It pairs the network-enabled ATW-R3210N receiver and ATW-T3201 body-pack transmitter with the AT831cH cardioid condenser lavalier. Operating as a frequency-agile UHF system in the 470–530 MHz (DE2) band, it suits conference rooms, government spaces, and multi-room facilities that standardize on networked wireless microphone systems.
Product Description
This system extends the 3000 Series platform with network monitoring and control through Audio-Technica's Wireless Manager software, letting an integrator or AV manager view battery, RF, audio level, and frequency across many receivers from a single workstation. That capability is valuable in installations with multiple rooms or a head-end equipment room.

The AT831cH cardioid lavalier rejects off-axis sound, which helps in rooms with reinforcement or HVAC noise. The receiver scans and IR-syncs frequencies to the transmitter, and a backup frequency can be recalled from the transmitter if interference appears. The standard, non-networked ATW-3211/831 lavalier system is available when networked control is not required.
For AV system integration, the half-rack ATW-R3210N mounts in a standard rack and provides balanced XLR and unbalanced ¼″ outputs to a DSP or mixer, while its network port carries monitoring data. The transmitter includes a switchable high-pass filter and gain adjustable in 2 dB increments to match the source and room.
Key Features
- Network monitoring and control — The ATW-R3210N integrates with Audio-Technica Wireless Manager so technicians can monitor RF, audio, battery, and frequency remotely across many receivers.
- AT831cH cardioid lavalier — The cardioid pattern rejects off-axis noise, improving gain-before-feedback in reinforced conference rooms and government spaces.
- Frequency-agile UHF with 60 MHz tuning — A wide 470–530 MHz tuning range supports dense multi-channel coordination across a facility.
- IR sync and backup frequency — Frequencies sync by infrared and a backup channel can be recalled instantly if interference occurs during a session.
- Rack-mount receiver with balanced output — Half-rack form factor and balanced XLR output make the receiver straightforward to integrate into commercial AV racks.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does the 'N' (network) version add?
The network-enabled ATW-R3210N receiver can be monitored and controlled remotely through Audio-Technica Wireless Manager software, which is useful for multi-room and head-end managed installations.
Does the network feature pass Dante audio?
This system uses network connectivity for monitoring and control, not for Dante audio transport. Audio reaches your system through the receiver's analog XLR and ¼″ outputs. Verify current network capabilities against Audio-Technica's documentation for your firmware.
Which frequency band is this configuration?
DE2, tuning across 470–530 MHz. Confirm the band is clear and legal for wireless microphone use in your region before deployment.
How is the lavalier connected to the transmitter?
The AT831cH terminates in a cH-style screw-down 4-pin connector that mates with the ATW-T3201 body-pack transmitter.
Can it be rack-mounted in our AV system?
Yes. The half-rack receiver mounts in a standard equipment rack with appropriate hardware and feeds balanced audio to your DSP, mixer, or matrix.
What support and warranty are available?
Audio-Technica provides a limited warranty; refer to their current warranty terms for coverage. Creation Networks supports warranty and integration questions on systems purchased through us.
