Its cardioid pattern rejects off-axis sound to improve gain-before-feedback for presenters and lecturers in commercial AV rooms. A 55″ cable supports body-pack use.

The AT829cW clips to a lapel and delivers clear, directional speech pickup on Audio-Technica cW-style UniPak wireless systems, an alternative to the AT831 family.
A 55″ cable terminates in the locking 4-pin HRS connector for a secure connection to compatible transmitters.
