The Audio-Technica AT803 is a miniature omnidirectional condenser lavalier microphone supplied with a power module, built for presenters, lecturers, and interview subjects. Its omnidirectional pattern captures natural speech with consistent level as the talker moves, making it a dependable lavalier microphone for conference rooms, houses of worship, and broadcast. It runs on either an AA battery or 11–52V phantom power.
Product Description
Clipped to a lapel, the AT803 delivers clear, natural speech for sound reinforcement, lecture capture, and interviews. Its omnidirectional pattern is forgiving of placement and keeps level consistent during movement.
Frequency response runs 30–20,000 Hz, and the microphone handles up to 135 dB SPL on phantom power (121 dB on battery) with a 107 dB dynamic range. A UniSteep filter provides steep low-frequency attenuation to improve pickup without affecting voice quality. The included power module accepts battery or phantom power.
For a cardioid lavalier that rejects more off-axis sound, the AT831R is a companion option.
