AUDAC NMP40 – SourceCon Streaming Module, Spotify and Soundtrack Your Brand

What is the AUDAC NMP40 SourceCon streaming module?

The AUDAC NMP40 is a SourceCon network audio player module that streams music from the cloud directly into a professional AUDAC audio system. It is Spotify Connect and Soundtrack Your Brand certified, so a computer or mobile device acts only as the controller while the module plays the stream. It slides into any SourceCon-enabled device, including the XMP44 modular audio system and the MFA208 and MFA216 all-in-one amplifiers.

How does the AUDAC NMP40 SourceCon streaming module work?

The NMP40 connects to the local network over its RJ45 Ethernet port and receives Spotify Connect or Soundtrack Your Brand streams directly, rather than relying on audio played from a phone. Because the controlling device only sends commands, unwanted interruptions are avoided and the stream keeps its higher sample rate. Installation follows AUDAC's SourceCon method: the module slides into guide rails and connects through a board-edge connector, so no internal wiring or complex configuration is needed. Once inserted in a supporting slot, the module is discovered automatically and ready for operation. Both streaming services can be integrated and controlled from within the AUDAC Touch app, which also builds custom dashboards for multi-device control. AUDAC notes that the NMP40 is not compatible with older versions of AUDAC Touch, so keep the app up to date. The module also provides balanced stereo line outputs on a 3-pin 3.81 mm Euro terminal block with 100 dB signal-to-noise and 0.02% THD+N. Always check local license regulations before playing streamed music in a public or commercial space.
