What is the AUDAC FMP40 voice file player module?

The AUDAC FMP40 is a SourceCon™ voice file media player module for the XMP44 modular audio system and the MFA all-in-one amplifiers. It plays stored music and voice messages from USB or an internal microSD card, triggered by timers or by 15 contact inputs. Retailers, offices, schools and public buildings use it for scheduled announcements, advertisements, closing-time messages and emergency calls.

How does the AUDAC FMP40 voice file player module work?

AUDAC FMP40 SourceCon voice file media player module

SourceCon™ modules slide into guide rails in a compatible host and connect through board-edge connectors, so the FMP40 is detected and ready for operation without internal wiring or complex configuration. Fifty programmable triggers can be set by timer, by contact, or both, and each points to a stored music or voice file. Each of the 15 contact inputs is individually configurable as normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC). Playback mode can be set to pulse trigger, which plays the complete track, or to stop on release, which suits momentary or continuous contact signals. Priority levels and repeat settings let urgent messages override routine ones. Files can be played from USB memory or an external USB drive inserted in the host, or from an internal microSD card that stays locked inside for installations where media rarely changes. Supported formats are MP3, WMA, WAV, FLAC, Ogg Vorbis and AAC on FAT16 or FAT32 file systems. Audio leaves on a balanced stereo line output, and the module is compatible with the AUDAC Touch™ control platform. Host options include the XMP44, MFA208 and MFA216.
