AUDAC CELO6I/W – 6" Slim Ceiling Speaker, 8 Ω, White
What is the AUDAC CELO6I/W ceiling speaker?
The AUDAC CELO6I/W is a 6-inch high-end, slim in-ceiling loudspeaker from AUDAC's CELO series, built with a 1" aluminium dome tweeter + 6" aluminium cone woofer and rated at 60 W continuous (AES) into 8 Ω. Its SlimLine grille has a 1 mm border and is held on by neodymium magnets, so the speaker nearly disappears in the ceiling. It suits offices, conference rooms, retail, hotels and restaurants that want background music and clear paging without visible hardware.
How does the AUDAC CELO6I/W work?
Each CELO speaker installs with a four-screw quick-fixing mechanism, and the wiring lands on gold-plated Gold-Con spring clamps instead of screw terminals. Sensitivity is 88 dB (1W/1m) with 140° conical coverage, and the 3 kHz passive crossover splits the drivers. Frequency response is 55 Hz – 20 kHz (±3 dB) and maximum SPL is 106 dB.
The CELO6 is a 8 Ω low-impedance speaker. For 70V/100V distributed systems, AUDAC offers the optional WTR24 (24 W, 100V) line transformer. The white grille is RAL9016 and can be painted to match the ceiling, and AUDAC also offers replacement grilles. Compare the CELO range:
| Model | Drivers | Power (AES) | Impedance | Sensitivity | Coverage |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| AUDAC CELO2I | 2" full range | 10 W | 8 Ω | 83 dB | 165° conical |
| AUDAC CELO2DI | 2" full range | 10 W | 16 Ω | 83 dB | 165° conical |
| AUDAC CELO5I | 5" 2-way coaxial | 50 W | 8 Ω | 85 dB | 155° conical |
| AUDAC CELO6I | 6" + 1" 2-way coaxial | 60 W | 8 Ω | 88 dB | 140° conical |

Frequently Asked Questions
Can the AUDAC CELO6I/W be used on a 70V or 100V system?
Yes, with the optional WTR24 (24 W, 100V) line transformer. Without it the speaker is 8 Ω.
Can the grille be painted?
Yes. The white RAL9016 grille is paintable to match the ceiling.
How many CELO6 speakers does a room need?
It depends on ceiling height and the level required; with 140° coverage, spacing is roughly twice the ceiling height for background music and closer for speech. We lay out every room during design.
Is it suitable for conference rooms?
Yes. Its flat response and wide coverage suit speech reinforcement and video-call audio from a DSP. See the full AUDAC lineup for amplifiers and DSPs.
