Product Overview
The Atlas Sound AZA404 is a 400-watt, networkable 4-channel power amplifier designed for commercial audio installation alongside the AtlasIED Atmosphere platform, including the AZM series zone processors. Output channels are configurable in pairs for 70V, 100V, 8-ohm, or 4-ohm loads, so one amplifier covers both distributed 70-volt speaker lines and low-impedance loudspeakers in the same rack. It ships ready to run in four-channel 70V mode with no configuration or network connection required, which shortens commissioning on multi-zone commercial AV deployment. For integrators building zone audio systems for offices, schools, hospitality, and houses of worship, the AZA404 is the standard four-zone power stage.
Product Description

The AZA404 delivers up to 100 watts per channel, with output modes configurable in channel pairs: 4 x 100W at 70.7V or 100V, 4 x 75W at 8 ohms, 4 x 50W at 4 ohms, or mixed pairs combining constant-voltage and low-impedance loads. That flexibility lets a single 1RU chassis drive 70-volt ceiling speaker runs in dining areas while powering 8-ohm surface-mount speakers in a patio or meeting room. The amplifier uses a Class AB switching hybrid BASH topology, delivering 20Hz–20kHz frequency response, better than 100dB signal-to-noise (A-weighted) below rated output, and 1% THD at rated output — dependable performance figures for speech and background music systems.
Four balanced inputs accept line-level feeds from a DSP or zone processor, with 750mV input sensitivity and 40k-ohm balanced input impedance. A built-in web interface over Ethernet handles output mode changes, monitoring, and additional processing, giving IT and facilities staff remote visibility without a truck roll. An optional accessory card slot accepts the DPA-DAC4 four-channel Dante receiver card for Dante audio network integration, adding inputs 5–8 for networked audio distribution. The universal power supply auto-switches between 110–120V and 220–240V at 50/60Hz, simplifying global project specification. The AZA404 is purpose-matched to the AZM4 Atmosphere 4-zone audio processor, and pairs with AtlasIED loudspeakers from our AtlasIED collection for a complete commercial sound system.
Key Features
- Four Channels, 400 Watts Total — Up to 100W per channel covers four audio zones from a single 1RU amplifier.
- 70V/100V/8Ω/4Ω Output Modes — Channel pairs are independently configurable, so constant-voltage speaker lines and low-impedance speakers run from one chassis.
- Ready Out of the Box — Ships in four-channel 70V mode with no setup or network connection required, reducing on-site commissioning time.
- Web Interface Monitoring — Ethernet-connected browser interface changes output modes and provides monitoring and additional processing remotely.
- Optional Dante Card Slot — Accepts the DPA-DAC4 four-channel Dante receiver for audio-over-IP integration in networked AV systems.
- Four Balanced Inputs — Professional balanced line inputs with 40k-ohm impedance reject noise on long cable runs from the rack DSP.
- BASH Class AB Hybrid Topology — Switching hybrid design delivers clean output with >100dB signal-to-noise (A-weighted).
- Universal Auto-Switching Power — 110–120V and 220–240V, 50/60Hz operation supports domestic and international deployments.
- Compact 1RU Chassis — 1.75" tall, 19" rack-mount form factor at 13 lbs conserves rack space in equipment closets.
- Atmosphere Platform Integration — Purpose-built to pair with AZM4 and AZM8 zone processors for complete zoned audio systems.
Typical Applications
- Commercial meeting spaces and multi-purpose rooms

Frequently Asked Questions
Can the AZA404 drive both 70V speaker lines and 8-ohm speakers at the same time?
Yes. Output modes are configured in channel pairs, so two channels can run a 70.7V or 100V distributed line while the other pair drives 8-ohm or 4-ohm low-impedance loudspeakers.
Does it require network configuration before use?
No. It ships ready to operate in four-channel 70V mode. The Ethernet web interface is optional and used when you want to change output modes or monitor the amplifier remotely.
Is the AZA404 Dante compatible?
It includes an accessory card slot for the optional DPA-DAC4 four-channel Dante receiver, adding networked audio inputs for Dante-based AV system integration.
Which processor pairs with the AZA404?
It is designed for the AtlasIED Atmosphere platform and pairs directly with the AZM4 four-zone processor, available from Creation Networks.
How much rack space does it need?
One rack unit. The chassis is 1.75" tall, 19" wide, and 15.5" deep, weighing 13 lbs.
