Product Overview
The Atlas Sound ALA10TAW-B is a passive line array speaker system in a black finish, built for stages, broadcast environments, and performance venues where the loudspeaker should disappear against dark walls, curtains, and trusswork. Its column of ten 3" full-range drivers and four high-frequency tweeters projects clear, intelligible speech and program audio through a controlled 135-degree by 40-degree pattern. EN54-24 certification, 70.7V/100V transformer taps, and a 6-ohm bypass make it equally at home on a voice evacuation line or a dedicated amplifier channel. The identical array in a white finish is available as the ALA10TAW column line array.
Product Description

Auditoriums, broadcast studios, and contemporary worship platforms share two demands: intelligible audio and minimal visual footprint. The ALA10TAW-B answers both. Its sealed extruded aluminum cabinet measures just 4.61" wide and 32.9" tall, and the matte black finish recedes into stage surrounds, dark proscenium walls, and equipment-dense broadcast sets. Inside, ten proprietary 3" (76mm) full-range transducers work with four 22mm tweeters through a passive 3.5kHz crossover, forming a 2-way column that holds vertical dispersion to 40 degrees while covering 135 degrees horizontally. That pattern control is what separates a line array installation from conventional boxes in reverberant spaces: more direct sound at the listener, less energy exciting the room. The system is rated at 200W RMS and 400W peak with 96dB sensitivity, reaching 119dB continuous and 122dB peak SPL, ample headroom for spoken word, playback, and live program in mid-size venues. For commercial audio integration flexibility, the internal transformer offers 70.7V taps at 60, 30, 15, and 7.5 watts and 100V taps at 60, 30, and 15 watts, with a bypass for direct 6-ohm amplifier connection. Terminations include both a barrier strip and an NL4 speakON connector, supporting fixed wiring or portable production cabling. The included wall mount rides in vertical channels machined into the rear of the cabinet, so the installer sets vertical tilt by sliding the bracket rather than shimming hardware, and an optional pole mount bracket (pole sold separately) enables portable deployment with an A-Line subwoofer. EN54-24 certification and an IP33 rating round out its credentials for voice alarm specifications. See matching 70V amplifiers and signal processing in the AtlasIED collection at Creation Networks.
Key Features
- Black Low-Visibility Finish — The dark extruded aluminum cabinet vanishes against stages, drapery, and broadcast set backgrounds.
- 14-Transducer Column Design — Ten 3" full-range drivers and four 22mm tweeters deliver high speech intelligibility in reflective rooms.
- Pattern Control for Difficult Acoustics — 135° horizontal by 40° vertical coverage keeps sound on the audience plane and off hard surfaces.
- 200W RMS / 400W Peak — Generous power handling with up to 122dB peak SPL covers voice lift through full program playback.
- Distributed or Low-Impedance Operation — 70.7V and 100V transformer taps plus a 6-ohm bypass suit either system architecture.
- EN54-24 Certified with IP33 Rating — Qualifies for voice alarm and life-safety loudspeaker specifications in commercial projects.
- Tool-Friendly Slide Mount — The included wall bracket slides in rear channels to set vertical aim during installation.
- Dual Input Options — Barrier strip for permanent installation wiring and NL4 speakON for portable production use.
- Portable-Capable — An optional pole mount bracket pairs the array with a portable A-Line subwoofer system for events.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the ALA10TAW-B and the ALA10TAW?
Performance and dimensions are identical; the difference is finish. The ALA10TAW-B is black for stages and dark interiors, while the ALA10TAW is white for light architectural spaces.
Will it work on my existing 70-volt amplifier line?
Yes. Selectable 70.7V taps at 60, 30, 15, and 7.5 watts (and 100V taps at 60, 30, and 15 watts) let you set per-speaker level on a distributed line, or bypass the transformer for 6-ohm operation.
How many amplifier watts should I plan for in low-impedance mode?
The system handles 200W RMS and 400W peak at 6 ohms. Size the amplifier channel to the program material and required SPL; the array reaches up to 122dB peak.
Does the black model carry the same life-safety certification?
Yes. The ALA10TAW-B is EN54-24 certified with an IP33 rating, suitable for projects that specify certified voice alarm loudspeakers.
What mounting hardware ships in the box?
A wall mount bracket is included and slides within rear vertical channels to set tilt. The pole and pole mount bracket for portable use are sold separately.
What warranty applies to this speaker?
