Allen & Heath AH-QU-7 – Qu-7 Digital Mixer, 32+1 Faders is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
What is the Allen & Heath AH-QU-7 digital mixer?
The Allen & Heath AH-QU-7 is the largest model in the Qu-5/6/7 range, a 96kHz digital mixer with 32 onboard mic preamps, 20 XLR line outputs and 32+1 motorised faders. It mixes 38 inputs into 12 mixes, 4 matrices and main LR, with a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen. The Qu-7 digital mixer is built for houses of worship, auditoriums and event spaces that want every source on its own fader and enough local inputs to skip a stagebox.
How does the Allen & Heath AH-QU-7 work?
All 32 combi XLR/jack preamps feed fully processed channels, and the engine runs at 96kHz with under 0.7ms latency from local mic input to main LR. The 32+1 fader surface, spread across 4 layers, lets a volunteer or staff operator see the whole mix at once. Six RackExtra FX engines with dedicated stereo returns and a 32-channel Automatic Mic Mixer cover worship music, presentations and panel discussions.
The 128x128 SLink port adds remote I/O in dSnake, DX or gigaACE modes. USB-C provides a 32x32 audio interface for recording and streaming, the SD slot captures up to 16 tracks at 96kHz or 32 at 48kHz, and USB-A records stereo. Free apps for Windows, macOS, iOS and Android allow remote mixing and personal monitor control.
What are the key features of the Allen & Heath AH-QU-7?

- 32+1 faders over 4 layers — a full channel-per-fader workflow for busy events.
- 20 XLR line outputs — feeds mains, fills, monitors and recording without expansion.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the Qu-7 and Qu-7D?
The Qu-7D adds a built-in 16x16 Dante interface on a dedicated EtherCON port. Everything else is the same.
Do I still need a stagebox?
Often not, thanks to 32 local inputs. When sources are on a distant stage, add a remote rack such as the AR2412 stage rack over SLink.
Can it feed personal monitors?
Yes. In dSnake mode SLink carries ME outputs for the AH-ME-1 personal monitor mixer.
Can it be rack mounted?
No. Allen & Heath's optional rack kit is for the Qu-5 and Qu-5D only.
When should I choose SQ instead?
For a 48-channel engine and larger bus count, consider the Allen & Heath SQ-7 or browse the full Allen & Heath collection.
