Product Description

The transmitter connects to the host computer through a single USB Type B port and links to its matching receiver over standard CAT5e or better cabling — either point to point or routed through a Gigabit Ethernet network. At the far end, the receiver presents four USB Type A ports for peripherals. Operation is completely transparent: no drivers or software are required, and USB devices behave exactly as if they were plugged directly into the computer.

Device support is unusually broad for a network USB extender. Beyond keyboards, mice, touch screens, graphics tablets, jog shuttles, joysticks and 3D explorers, the C-USB LAN also handles mass storage devices and isochronous devices such as webcams, headsets and microphones — classes that many extenders cannot carry reliably.
