Uniguest MediaStar and Hub AV (Tripleplay) servers — video on demand, caching, licensing and cloud gateway appliances that run the management layer behind an IPTV and digital signage estate.

The server is the system

Gateways and encoders produce streams; media players display them. The server is what turns that into a managed service — channel line-ups, on-demand libraries, signage scheduling, user permissions and the licensing that keeps it all entitled.

On a small deployment this can be a single appliance. On a campus or multi-property estate it is several, and the architecture is decided at design stage rather than added later.

What each one does

• 472 iVOD — interactive video on demand. Content libraries guests or staff browse and play on request rather than a fixed channel schedule.
• 797 License Key Server — holds the entitlements for the MediaStar estate. Not optional on licensed deployments.
• 800-CG Cloud Gateway — bridges the on-premise system to cloud management and remote content.
• Hub AV Caching Server — holds content local to the site so playback does not depend on a WAN link every time.
• Hub AV Two-Slot IPTV Server — 1U platform for Tripleplay interactive TV deployments.

Caching is a bandwidth decision

Without local caching, every on-demand play pulls content across the network or the internet. In a hotel at checkout time or a campus at lunchtime, that concurrency is what saturates a link. A caching server puts the content next to the viewers and turns a WAN problem into a LAN one.

Licensing is a real line item

MediaStar and Hub AV are licensed platforms. Channel counts, endpoint counts and feature modules all carry entitlements, and the license server has to be in the design. Creation Networks confirms the full licence position before quoting rather than discovering it at commissioning.

Creation Networks designs and commissions IPTV systems for hospitality, healthcare, education and corporate clients — server architecture, network design with your IT team, licensing, and handover documentation. Call 888-230-3661 or email sales@creationnetworks.net.
