Start with the wall's total pixel count and the sources it must show. The Brompton Tessera SX40 handles 4K canvases up to 9 million pixels over 10G outputs and is the long-standing choice for large single-source walls. The Brompton Tessera S8 delivers the full Tessera feature set for smaller walls over eight 1G outputs. For 8K canvases, multi-source 4x4K layouts and ST 2110 or IPMX video-over-IP, Brompton's Gen 3 processing and 100G distribution are available by quote. Every processor on this page runs the same Tessera software, so operators work the same way across rooms.

What constrains a Brompton install

The panels decide compatibility: Brompton processors only drive panels built with Tessera R2, R2+ or G1 receiver cards, so confirm the card in every LED quote. Planar builds several lines this way, including the CarbonLight CLI VX Brompton cabinets. Distance and data rate decide distribution: 10G processor outputs travel over single-mode fibre to units such as the Brompton Tessera XD, which converts to 1G for the panel chains. Optical modules, fibre runs and redundancy paths are planned up front. For mission-critical rooms, Tessera supports closed-loop and processor redundancy. Brompton's Q-SYS Certified plugin reports processor status and failover state for Q-SYS control and Reflect monitoring.
