FAQ | Q-SYS roll back Q-SYS software version to 9.x

FAQ | If I purchase a new Core and roll its Q-SYS software version back to 9.x or earlier, do I still get Scripting and UCI functionality for free?

Find out if you can still access Scripting and UCI functionality for free if rolling back Q-SYS software version to 9.x or earlier on a new Core purchase.

ANSWER

Q-SYS software versions 9.x and earlier still require a Scripting/UCI license to be installed on the Core in order to use these features. Since Scripting and UCI licenses are no longer available for purchase, Q-SYS has created free licenses that can be installed on any Core to gain access to Scripting and UCI functionality. Use the Entitlement IDs (EID) below to install the appropriate license to your Core.

NOTE

Each EID is specific to each Core model, and will only work on that Core model.

As a reminder, this step is only necessary if the Core will be running Q-SYS software version 9.x or earlier. See How To | Q-SYS License Activation for instructions on how to install a license on a Core.
