Product Overview
The ZeeVee Z4KDPDECF3 is a ZyPer4K SDVoE fiber decoder that outputs uncompressed 4KP60 4:4:4 video to HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.3 displays over a 10Gb multimode fiber network with runs up to 300 meters. As a dual-output 4K AV-over-IP decoder with fiber connectivity, it serves commercial AV installations where display locations are beyond Cat6a reach or where fiber infrastructure is already in place. The unit is managed via the ZyPer Management Platform for routing, video wall, and multiview configuration.
Product Description
The Z4KDPDECF3 receives ZyPer4K SDVoE streams over 10Gb SFP+ fiber and decodes them to HDMI 2.0 or DisplayPort 1.3 outputs, enabling flexible display connectivity at locations separated from the network core by up to 300 meters of multimode fiber. It is the fiber equivalent of the Z4KDPDECC3, suited for campus, stadium, or multi-building AV distributions where copper runs are not feasible. ZMP provides centralized routing assignments, video wall management (up to 15x15), and multiview layouts (up to 19 sources). HDCP 2.2 maintains content protection throughout the fiber path, with AES-128 and 802.1X providing network security. RS-232 (9-pin D-sub, 115.2 kbps) and IR (3.5mm) pass-through route control signals to display-side equipment. Analog audio output via 3.5mm supports local speaker connections. At approximately 9W, this decoder is suitable for high-density display-side deployments.
Key Features
- HDMI 2.0 + DisplayPort 1.3 Output — Outputs to either display type without adapters at the destination.
- 10Gb Multimode Fiber (SFP+) — Supports runs up to 300m, extending reach beyond copper infrastructure.
- Uncompressed 4KP60 4:4:4 — Full-bandwidth, zero-latency 4K decode and output.
- Video Wall: 15x15 — Large-format video wall support configured via ZMP.
- Multiview: 19 Sources — Flexible multiview layouts on a single display.
- HDCP 2.2 + AES-128 — Content protection and secure network transport.
- RS-232 & IR Pass-Through — Routes control signals to display-side devices via 9-pin D-sub and 3.5mm IR jacks.
- 1Gb Utility Port — Secondary network interface for management traffic.
- ~9W Power Draw — Low consumption for high-density display-side deployments.
- 3-Year Warranty — ZeeVee standard commercial coverage.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Why select the fiber decoder over the copper version?
- Choose the Z4KDPDECF3 when displays are located more than 100 meters from the network switch, or when fiber is already the infrastructure standard in the building. Fiber also eliminates EMI concerns in environments with high electrical interference.
- Does this decoder require a fiber encoder?
- No. The encoder and decoder connect independently to the 10GbE network infrastructure. A fiber decoder can receive streams from copper encoders on the same ZyPer4K network, provided the network core accommodates both interface types.
- Is USB available on this model?
- No. For USB 2.0 extension, select the Z4KDPDECF3U model, which is otherwise identical.
- What SFP+ modules are supported?
- Refer to ZeeVee's current compatibility documentation for validated multimode SFP+ transceiver options for the Z4KDPDECF3.
- Can this decoder output to HDMI and DisplayPort simultaneously?
- Both outputs are available on the unit. Consult current ZMP documentation for simultaneous dual-output behavior in your firmware version.
