Product Overview
The ZeeVee Z4KDPDECC3 is a ZyPer4K SDVoE copper decoder that delivers both HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.3 outputs from a single 10GbE network endpoint, supporting dual-output 4K decoder deployments over Cat6a copper cabling. Designed for enterprise AV integrators building ZyPer4K AV-over-IP distribution systems, it enables displays with either HDMI or DisplayPort inputs to receive any networked 4K source without adapters. The decoder operates within the ZyPer Management Platform for centralized routing, video wall, and multiview control.
Product Description
The Z4KDPDECC3 decodes ZyPer4K SDVoE streams and outputs them simultaneously or selectively to HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.3 displays, making it a flexible endpoint for environments where display inventories include both connector types. It connects to the network via 10Gb RJ45 or SFP+ copper with Cat6a up to 100 meters, and outputs uncompressed 4KP60 4:4:4 video. The ZyPer Management Platform manages all routing assignments, video wall configurations (up to 15x15), and multiview layouts (up to 19 sources) centrally. HDCP 2.2 ensures content protection end-to-end, while AES-128 and 802.1X provide network-level security. RS-232 and IR pass-through enable control system commands to reach display-side equipment. Analog audio output via 3.5mm accommodates local speaker or audio amplifier connections. At approximately 9W, the decoder is power-efficient for high-density display environments.
Key Features
- Dual Output: HDMI 2.0 + DisplayPort 1.3 — Feeds displays with either connector type from a single decoder endpoint.
- Uncompressed 4KP60 4:4:4 — Full-bandwidth 4K video output with no perceptible latency.
- 10GbE Copper (Cat6a to 100m) — Standard network cabling infrastructure without proprietary hardware requirements.
- Video Wall: 15x15 — Supports large-format video wall arrays configured via ZMP.
- Multiview: 19 Sources — Display up to 19 network sources simultaneously on a single screen.
- HDCP 2.2 + AES-128 — End-to-end content protection and encrypted distribution.
- RS-232 & IR Pass-Through — Routes control signals to display-side equipment via 9-pin D-sub and 3.5mm IR jacks.
- Analog Audio Output — Unbalanced stereo, 3.5mm for local audio routing.
- ~9W Power Draw — Low power for scalable display-side deployments.
- 3-Year Warranty — ZeeVee standard commercial coverage.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Can the decoder output to HDMI and DisplayPort simultaneously?
- Both outputs are available on the unit. Verify with ZeeVee current ZMP documentation for simultaneous dual-output behavior, as output configuration may depend on firmware version and ZMP settings.
- Does the decoder require a paired ZyPer4K encoder?
- Yes. The Z4KDPDECC3 must be used with a ZyPer4K encoder on the same SDVoE network, managed by ZMP. It is not compatible with third-party SDVoE or standard RTSP streams.
- Is USB available on this model?
- No. The Z4KDPDECC3 does not include USB. For USB 2.0 extension to display-side peripherals, select the Z4KDPDECC3U model.
- What network equipment is required?
- A managed 10GbE switch with IGMP snooping and jumbo frame support is required. ZeeVee maintains a validated switch compatibility list for ZyPer4K deployments.
- What is the maximum distance on Cat6a?
- 100 meters over Cat6a copper. For longer runs, use the fiber decoder variants Z4KDPDECF3 or Z4KDPDECF3U, which support multimode fiber up to 300m.
