Product Description

In many commercial AV installations, the FM transmitter lives in a rack closet or credenza where a chassis-mounted antenna would be shielded by metal, walls, or equipment. The ANT 005 remote coaxial antenna solves this by moving the radiating element up to 22 feet away from the transmitter over RG-59 coax with a standard F-connector. The final 80 inches of the run is the active antenna, which can be routed vertically along a wall or above a ceiling line for improved line-of-sight coverage into the listening area.

The antenna presents a 75-ohm nominal impedance matched to Williams AV large-area FM transmitters, so no external matching hardware is required. When the standard 22-foot run is not enough — for example, when the rack room is far from the auditorium or worship space — the ANT 005 works with the optional WCA 008 50 50-foot antenna extension to reach more distant mounting points. Pair it with a transmitter from a Williams AV assistive listening system such as the FM+ platform used in the FM 557-12 large-area FM and Wi-Fi system to deliver reliable ADA-compliant hearing assistance coverage.
