Product Overview
The Williams AV TFP 057 is the switching power supply specified for the IR T2 medium-area infrared assistive listening transmitter. It is the correct replacement when the original supply is lost, damaged, or dedicated to another rack, and it is used together with the WLC 004 line cord. Integrators servicing infrared assistive listening systems in conference rooms and courtrooms keep this part on the truck.
Product Description
The IR T2 transmitter delivers secure, line-of-sight infrared audio for hearing assistance and language interpretation in commercial meeting spaces, and the TFP 057 is its factory-specified local power option. As a switching supply, it tolerates typical mains variation while delivering the regulated DC the transmitter requires — an important consideration in installations where the transmitter is wall- or ceiling-mounted away from conditioned rack power. The supply connects to mains via the WLC 004 detachable line cord (ordered separately if not already on site), which allows the cord length and plug type to suit the installation. For installations where running AC to the transmitter location is impractical, Williams AV also offers PoE-based power through the POE 001 injector and the POE KT1/KT2 wiring kits; the TFP 057 remains the standard choice when a local outlet is available. It is the direct companion to the IR T2 SoundPlus infrared transmitter, and related infrared system components are available in our Williams AV collection.
