Product Overview

The Williams AV MIC 449 is an omnidirectional tabletop conference microphone with a 3.5mm TRRS plug, designed for use with the Digi-Wave DLT 400 transceiver. The low-profile 60mm diameter puck form factor makes it suited for conference tables, podiums, and interpretation booth surfaces where a discreet, cable-connected microphone input is required. It operates as a direct replacement for handheld or headset microphones when hands-free tabletop operation is preferred.

Product Description

The MIC 449 extends the Williams AV Digi-Wave DLT 400 transceiver’s microphone input capabilities to a flat tabletop surface. The electret capsule provides omnidirectional polar coverage with -40 dB sensitivity and 1500Ω output impedance, appropriate for close-field speech pickup in conference and interpretation settings. The 3.5mm TRRS plug connects directly to the DLT 400 TRRS microphone input, with a 39" (99 cm) cord providing adequate reach from the transceiver to a tabletop placement. The black puck measures 60mm diameter x 16mm height—low enough to remain unobtrusive on a conference table surface. Bias power requirement of 1.0–10 VDC is supplied by the connected transceiver, requiring no external power. The MIC 449 is appropriate for language interpretation consoles, Digi-Wave conference system deployments, courtroom proceedings, and any application where a DLT 400 is used as a wireless transmitter with a fixed tabletop input.
