The Williams AV MIC 144 is a single-ear headset microphone with a TRRS 3.5mm plug, designed for use with the Digi-Wave DLT 400 transceiver. The noise-cancelling electret condenser element with gooseneck boom provides reliable hands-free speech pickup for interpreters, guides, and conference operators. The single-ear earphone design allows one ear to remain open for situational awareness during active interpretation or moderation sessions.
Product Description
The MIC 144 is a single-ear headset microphone that combines voice pickup with single-ear audio monitoring for Digi-Wave DLT 400 deployments. The noise-cancelling electret condenser capsule provides more than 60 dB signal-to-noise ratio at 1 kHz, with -62 dBv sensitivity appropriate for close-field speech pickup in interpretation booths and conference rooms. The 3.5mm TRRS plug connects to the DLT 400’s single input/output TRRS port, carrying both microphone and audio over one connection. The gooseneck boom allows consistent positioning without requiring the user to hold the microphone. The single-ear earphone design—as opposed to the dual-muff MIC 145—is preferred by interpreters and moderators who want to monitor one audio channel while maintaining ambient awareness with the other ear. The headset stand is not included and must be sourced separately if a desktop stand configuration is required. The MIC 144 is DLT 400 exclusive and is not compatible with FM or IR system transmitters.
