The EAR 041 single earphone is the mono counterpart to the dual EAR 042, providing a single-channel in-ear listening option for users of Williams Sound personal listening systems. The 10 mm driver sits in the outer ear, creating a physical seal for passive noise isolation without blocking the ear canal fully. This wearing position is common in assistive listening applications where a single-channel clear speech signal is required. The 16-ohm nominal impedance and 104 dB sensitivity at 1 kHz match the output characteristics of Williams Sound FM and Digi-Wave receivers. The frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz covers the full range of speech and audio content relevant to assistive listening use. The 39-inch mono cord with 3.5 mm mono plug is a standard length for clip-worn or pocket-carried personal receivers. Maximum power input is 5 mW, appropriate for the output level of standard portable receivers.
