The DWS COM 4 400 packages four DLT 400 transceivers with four MIC 144 headset microphones, four DW ACC PAC4 charging accessory packs, a CCS 029 DW carry case, and color-coded silicone skins (one grey, three black) for quick role identification. The DLT 400 is a digital spread-spectrum (DSS) transceiver in the 2.4 GHz ISM band whose frequency-hopping algorithm (2402–2476 MHz FHSS) avoids interference from venue Wi-Fi and other RF traffic, while 87-bit plus 128-bit encryption with PIN protection keeps conversations confidential in courtrooms, government spaces, and corporate facilities.
