What is the Vizrt VCONTETRA Viz Connect Tetra?

The Vizrt VCONTETRA is the Viz Connect Tetra, an ultra-compact live production workstation that provides four flexible I/O channels between 12G-SDI, NDI and IP sources. It converts 4K UHD and HD SDI to NDI and back, adds Viz Flowics HTML5 graphics as sources, and connects remote sites through integrated NDI Bridge. How does the Vizrt VCONTETRA Viz Connect Tetra work?

Each of the four IP channels can be set as an input or an output. Four 12G-SDI HD-BNC connectors carry 4K UHD or HD signals and can also be configured as up to two key and fill pairs for graphics workflows.

Video inputs include NDI High Bandwidth, NDI|HX, Viz Flowics HTML5, SRT, SDI, RTMP and RTSP, with NDI and SDI outputs. Up to four Flowics HTML5 sources can be converted to NDI with key and fill or to SDI key and fill pairs.

For remote production, NDI Bridge integration (Join and Local modes) connects to NDI Bridge hosts over the public internet, with up to four channels as NDI High Bandwidth or NDI|HX 2 in HD. The unit also records up to four channels as NDI in .mov containers and plays back up to four media channels.

Audio is routed on a 16x16 matrix with up to 16 channels per I/O channel, and integrated waveform and vectorscope, genlock and LTC/VITC timecode support broadcast workflows.
