Product Description
The VP62R SST/SUR TL pairs a 6.5" textured polypropylene dual voice coil woofer with a pivoting, Ferrofluid-cooled 1" cloth dome tweeter housed in its own acoustic back chamber. The pivoting tweeter lets installers angle high-frequency output toward off-center seating, a common need for surround channels placed away from the primary listening axis. At 3.16" overall depth with an 8.25" cutout, the thin profile suits retrofit and low-clearance ceiling cavities, and the perforated steel grille with a stainless steel surround gives the speaker a distinct finish compared to the standard white trim used elsewhere in the Sonance Visual Performance lineup. As a legacy model, it is best suited to servicing or expanding an existing Visual Performance system; for new-build designs, current in-ceiling speakers from the Visual Experience Series are recommended instead.
