The Sonance VXXT6R is an IP66-rated round in-ceiling speaker from the Visual Experience Extreme line, built for outdoor soffits, covered patios, pool areas, and other moisture-prone spaces where a standard indoor in-ceiling speaker would not hold up.
Product Description
The VXXT6R uses a waterproof cloth dome tweeter with Ferrofluid cooling paired with a 6.5" polypropylene woofer fitted with a Santoprene surround, materials chosen specifically to resist moisture, humidity, and temperature swings in exterior installations. The speaker carries an IP66 weatherproof rating, meaning it is protected against dust ingress and powerful water jets from any direction, and Sonance's XPC grille retention system creates a magnetic lock between the speaker and grille strong enough to resist wind and pressure-washing. At 3.62" mounting depth with an 8.25" cutout, it installs into standard soffit or covered-ceiling framing, and it is available with round or square, micro trim or trimless bezel styles. Integrators speccing a Sonance outdoor audio zone can pair the VXXT6R with other outdoor speakers for patios, decks, and pool areas, keeping the same Extreme-line weatherproofing throughout the space.
