The DuetE-2 encodes sources up to 4K60 4:2:0 using Visionary's JPEG2000-based, dynamically optimized compression codec, which uses content analysis to preserve fine computer graphics and full-motion video at adjustable bitrates of 50 to 800 Mbps. Three selectable local inputs — two HDMI and one USB-C (DisplayPort Alt Mode) — plus an HDMI loop-through output allow the encoder to act as a local presentation switcher in a boardroom or multi-purpose room, with auto-switching, control-system, or web-browser input selection. Cinema-quality, ultra-low latency of approximately one frame keeps presenter video and program audio aligned in live commercial meeting spaces.

Because video, Dante/AES67 audio, control, and PoE power share the main Gigabit LAN port — with VLAN tagging available to separate audio and video traffic — a single CAT5e/6 run completes the installation.
