The EP1052T-A serves as a fully integrated meeting room endpoint: combining a scheduling panel, video conferencing camera, microphone, and touch controller in a single PoE+-powered device mounted at the conference room entrance. For AV system designers targeting hybrid meeting rooms where the room panel also needs to support occupancy detection and video conferencing input, the integrated camera and microphone eliminate the need for a separate room sensor or external webcam.

The built-in camera supports real-time occupancy detection, enabling scheduling platforms and building management systems to automatically update room availability based on whether the room is physically occupied, not just whether a meeting has been booked. This reduces ghost bookings and improves room utilization data for facilities managers. The microphone array with echo cancellation supports direct audio input for video conferencing scenarios where the EP1052T-A serves as the primary conferencing device for small meeting rooms.
