Product Description
The Vaddio HDMI Audio Embedder Kit (999-9995-004) accepts an analog audio input — at either line level or microphone level — and embeds it into the HDMI video stream passing through the device. The result is a single HDMI output cable carrying both the camera video and the embedded analog audio to the downstream device. This is particularly useful in conference room AV installations where the camera does not have an onboard microphone, or where a higher-quality external microphone or ceiling array is the audio source. The kit interfaces between the camera HDMI output and the display or codec HDMI input, operating transparently on the video path while adding the audio channel. Using embedded HDMI audio simplifies wiring by reducing the number of cables run to the display or codec and eliminates the need for a separate audio input connection at the receiving device.
