Product Overview

The Vaddio DocCAM 20 HDBT OneLINK Bridge System (999-9968-300) is a recessed ceiling-mounted document camera designed for distance learning classrooms, training rooms, and corporate conference spaces. The system combines the DocCAM 20 HDBT ceiling document camera with the OneLINK Bridge interface, providing simultaneous HDMI, USB 3.0, HD-SDI, and H.264 IP streaming outputs from a single camera over one HDBaseT cable run. A 20x optical zoom and 1080p/60 resolution make this ceiling document camera HDBaseT system suitable for capturing documents, whiteboards, and physical objects from overhead.

Product Description

The DocCAM 20 HDBT installs recessed into a standard ceiling tile, keeping the camera head concealed above the work surface and out of participants’ lines of sight. A 1/2.8-type Sony Exmor CMOS sensor captures 1920 × 1080 video at 60 fps with a minimum illumination of 0.4 lux, providing consistent imaging even in rooms with variable or lowered lighting. A built-in low-power laser pointer assists in remote centering and focus confirmation from the AV control room without requiring a technician on a ladder.

The 20x optical zoom spans a 59.5° horizontal field of view at the wide end, narrowing to 3.3° at tele—sufficient to fill the frame with letter-size or A4 documents from a standard ceiling height in most classroom or conference room configurations. Hardware configuration is performed entirely via web interface; there are no physical DIP switches or buttons on the camera body, which simplifies long-term maintenance and avoids accidental setting changes.

The included OneLINK Bridge interface connects to the camera over a single Cat-5e cable for runs up to 230 ft. (70m), or Cat-6 for up to 328 ft. (100m). At the equipment end, the OneLINK Bridge distributes video over HDMI, USB 3.0, HD-SDI, and H.264 IP streaming simultaneously, allowing capture hardware, display systems, and soft-client conferencing platforms to all operate concurrently. An integrated audio matrix with acoustic echo cancellation (AEC) supports audio bridging for hybrid meeting and distance learning applications.

Frequently Asked Questions

What outputs does the DocCAM 20 HDBT OneLINK Bridge System provide?
The OneLINK Bridge Interface provides simultaneous HDMI, USB 3.0, HD-SDI, and H.264 IP streaming outputs, allowing the camera to feed a display, a capture device, a soft-client conferencing platform, and a streaming encoder concurrently.

What is the maximum cable run from camera to OneLINK Bridge?
The HDBaseT connection supports up to 230 ft. (70m) over Cat-5e, or up to 328 ft. (100m) over Cat-6 cable.

Is this camera suitable for distance learning environments?
Yes. The ceiling-mounted form factor, 20x optical zoom, and USB 3.0 and IP streaming outputs make this system well-suited for lecture capture, remote learning platforms, and hybrid classroom deployments.

Can this system be integrated with Cisco, Polycom, or Crestron systems?
Yes. The system provides RS-232 and Telnet control for integration with third-party AV control systems. The OneLINK Bridge outputs are also compatible with major conferencing platforms and codecs.

Does the DocCAM 20 HDBT require a separate power supply at the ceiling?
No. The camera is powered via PoE+ over the same HDBaseT cable used for video and control. No separate power supply or AC outlet is required at the ceiling installation point.
