Product Overview
The Vaddio 440-1005-067 is a 98.4 ft (30m) active optical fiber USB 3.0 cable with USB-A to USB-B connectors and a CMP plenum-rated jacket. It supports SuperSpeed USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1/Gen 2 bandwidth up to 5 Gbps, is port-powered with no external supply required, and requires no driver installation. Compatible with Vaddio ConferenceSHOT and RoboSHOT cameras and USB 3.0 conferencing devices including AV Bridge Mini, AV Bridge 2x1, and AV Bridge MatrixMIX. Product Description
Active optical USB cables extend USB 3.0 signals over distances beyond what standard copper cables support. The 440-1005-067 maintains full 5 Gbps USB 3.0 bandwidth at 98.4 ft (30m) without signal repeater hubs or external power. Its thin, lightweight fiber composite design simplifies routing through conduits and plenum spaces compared to conventional copper cables, and the CMP plenum-rated jacket meets building code for air-handling space installations.
The cable is EMI/RFI resistant and plug-and-play for BYOD environments. Note: this cable does not carry sufficient power to charge USB devices and is not backwards compatible with USB signals below USB 3.0.
