This active optical USB 3.0 A-B cable extends USB 3.0 connections up to 65.6 ft (20 m) without signal degradation. Fiber optic technology inside the cable eliminates the distance limitations of standard copper USB cables for connecting PTZ cameras and other USB 3.0 devices over longer runs.
Description
Standard passive USB 3.0 cables are limited to approximately 3 meters (10 ft) before signal loss occurs. The Vaddio Active Optical USB 3.0 A-B cable uses fiber optic technology to extend USB 3.0 at full bandwidth to 65.6 ft (20 m) — ideal for connecting ceiling-mounted PTZ cameras to computers or USB capture cards in a rack room. The cable has a standard USB 3.0 Type-A connector on the host side and Type-B on the device side, and requires no external power supply beyond bus power.
