Product Overview
The Vaddio 440-1007-030 is a 98.4 ft (30m) active optical fiber USB cable with USB-C to USB-A connectors, CMP plenum-rated jacket, and SuperSpeed USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1/Gen 2 bandwidth support up to 5 Gbps. It is port-powered with no external power supply required and is compatible with Vaddio ConferenceSHOT and RoboSHOT cameras, AV Bridge Mini, AV Bridge 2x1, and AV Bridge MatrixMIX. Product Description
Active optical USB cables use fiber optic technology to extend USB 3.0 signals over distances that are not possible with standard copper USB cables. The 440-1007-030 supports the full SuperSpeed USB 3.0 bandwidth up to 5 Gbps at 98.4 ft (30m) without signal degradation, hub repeaters, or external power. Its thin, lightweight fiber composite design makes it easier to route through conduits and plenum spaces compared to conventional copper cables.
The CMP plenum-rated jacket meets building code requirements for installation in air-handling plenum spaces, eliminating the need for conduit in many ceiling installations. The cable is resistant to EMI/RFI interference. Note: this cable does not carry sufficient power to charge USB devices and is not backwards compatible with USB signals below USB 3.0.
