The Vaddio 440-1007-015 is a 49.2 ft (15m) active optical fiber USB cable with USB-C to USB-A connectors, CMP plenum-rated jacket, and SuperSpeed USB 3.0/3.1 Gen 1/Gen 2 bandwidth up to 5 Gbps. Port-powered with no external supply required, no driver installation needed, and compatible with Vaddio ConferenceSHOT and RoboSHOT cameras, AV Bridge Mini, AV Bridge 2x1, and AV Bridge MatrixMIX. Product Description
Active optical USB cables use fiber optic technology to extend USB 3.0 signals at full bandwidth beyond what passive copper USB cables can achieve. At 49.2 ft (15m), the 440-1007-015 covers mid-range conference room and classroom installations where the camera is mounted at the ceiling or wall and the host PC or AV bridge is at the table or rack. The thin, lightweight fiber design routes easily through conduits compared to copper, and the CMP plenum-rated jacket meets building code for air-handling ceiling spaces.
The cable is port-powered and resistant to EMI/RFI. Note: not backwards compatible with USB 2.0 or lower, and does not carry sufficient power to charge USB devices.
