Without a mounting kit, the device cannot be secured to the rack rails, creating a safety and installation quality issue. The 998-6000-004 provides a half-rack bracket that secures the device to one side of the rack opening and a blanking panel that fills the unused half of the 1U slot, maintaining a clean and professional rack face.
