What is the Uniguest 799?
The Uniguest 799 is an IP Re-Caster gateway blade that gives full-duplex IPTV connectivity between multiple sites, converting unicast or multicast streams and carrying them over SRT.
How does the Uniguest 799 work?
The 799 receives unicast or multicast UDP MPEG2 transport streams, or encrypted and unencrypted SRT streams, at up to 600 Mbps and re-sends them with IP address translation. That lets a headquarters share live channels with branch campuses over a WAN, VPN or the internet, and converts multicast to unicast where a remote network cannot carry multicast. Optional AES encryption protects content in transit. The blade installs in a 770 3RU chassis or 769 single-slot chassis.
