What is the Uniguest 797?
The Uniguest 797 is a license key server blade that securely stores and distributes license and access keys so computers can play protected media in the MediaStar system.
How does the Uniguest 797 work?
Pre-purchased media access keys are factory loaded by Uniguest before delivery. Working with Media Manager and Portal Page software, the 797 hands those keys to authorized PCs so they can play protected channels. One key server supports up to 10,000 users and is all an enterprise needs, with multiple sites served over the WAN. It is a hot-swap blade with failover protection that occupies one slot in a 770 3RU chassis or 769 single-slot chassis.
