The CM-DVIU-X-2IN uses DVI-U (Universal DVI) connectors, which are physically identical to DVI-I connectors but accept a broader range of signal types: DVI-D digital, DVI-A analog, HDMI (via adapter), RGB/YPbPr component analog, YC (S-Video), and composite video. This makes the module appropriate for installations where a CORIOmatrix system must accept diverse input formats without requiring separate input modules for each signal type. The HDCP compliance of both inputs ensures compatibility with content-protected HDMI sources such as media players, Blu-ray, and protected presentation sources. Each connector's signal type is detected and processed within the CORIOmatrix routing fabric. The module installs into CORIOmatrix input slots and is managed through the CORIOmatrix control interface. Adapters may be required for non-DVI source connectors. The CORIOmatrix chassis is sold separately.

Can the CM-DVIU-X-2IN accept HDMI sources directly?
HDMI sources connect to the DVI-U input via a standard DVI-to-HDMI adapter cable. The DVI-U connector is HDCP compliant, so protected HDMI content passes correctly through the CORIOmatrix system.
Does the module accept composite and S-Video analog signals?
Yes. DVI-U accepts composite video and YC (S-Video) signals in addition to DVI and component analog. Appropriate breakout adapters are required to connect composite or S-Video sources to the DVI-I connector.
Is the CM-DVIU-X-2IN compatible with CORIOmaster?

What adapters are required for non-DVI sources?
