Product Overview
The tvONE C2-6104A is a four-window multiviewer and picture-in-picture processor built on tvONE's CORIO2 technology, designed for control rooms, broadcast monitoring walls, and multi-source display installations. It accepts five HDCP-compliant DVI-U/HDMI inputs and places up to four independently scaled and positioned windows on a single DVI-I output. Each window runs its own dedicated CORIO2 scaler, enabling full PIP flexibility with independent sizing, positioning, and layer control. The unit fits in a standard 1RU rack enclosure and supports analog signals including composite and S-Video via the DVI-U connectors.
Product Description

Each of the five DVI-U inputs accepts DVI-I digital signals, DVI-A analog signals (RGBHV/YUV/YPbPr/YC/CV via optional HD-15 or breakout adaptor), and HDMI signals — all with full HDCP compliance. DVI-D resolutions up to 1920x1200@60 Hz and 1080p are supported, while analog DVI-A resolutions extend to 2048x2048 at virtually any refresh rate. The fifth input serves as either a background source or a cascade input from another C2-6104A, allowing a single additional unit to double the window count to eight. Four built-in still image stores each hold up to ten user-loadable graphic images that can replace any live input. High-performance motion-adaptive de-interlacing with noise reduction processes interlaced sources (525i, 625i, 720p, 1080i, 1080p) correctly in each window. HDMI audio can be embedded, switched independently, or set to follow Window A only. Advanced features include Genlock, Chromakey, Lumakey, and Mixing modes, with variable zoom to 10x and shrink to 10%. Color borders and source labeling identify each window on the display. All settings are stored in non-volatile memory with ten user-defined presets for rapid recall. Control is available via front-panel buttons, RS-232/422/485, or Ethernet, and the unit is fully compatible with the CORIO Tool Suite and third-party control systems.
Key Features
- Four Independent CORIO2 Scaling Engines — Each window has its own dedicated scaler, so all four windows can display different input resolutions simultaneously without any quality compromise.
- Five DVI-U/HDMI Inputs with Full HDCP — DVI-U connectors accept DVI-I digital, DVI-A analog, composite, and S-Video signals; all inputs and the output are fully HDCP compliant.
- Cascade Input for Expanded Window Count — The fifth input doubles as a background or cascade port; connecting a second C2-6104A adds four more windows without additional display outputs.
- DVI-D Output to 1920x1200 / 1080p@60 — Single DVI-I output drives HD monitors, video walls, and projectors at standard resolutions up to 1920x1200.
- Analog DVI-A to 2048x2048 — Analog component support extends to 2048x2048 at virtually any refresh rate, covering high-resolution legacy sources.
- Motion-Adaptive De-interlacing with Noise Reduction — Handles interlaced YUV, YPbPr, YC, and CV sources across all four windows.
- Four Still Image Stores — Each store holds one of ten user-loadable images, usable as window content or background graphics.
- Chromakey, Lumakey, and Mix Modes — Advanced compositing allows any window to be keyed over another with variable priority, plus fade transitions between sources.
- HDMI Audio Embedding and Switching — Audio can follow any window or be fixed to Window A; audio follows the selected source on input switches.
- 10 User-Defined Presets — Recall complete layout configurations directly from the front panel or external control system.
Typical Applications

- Security and surveillance operations centers with multiple camera feeds
- Corporate boardrooms displaying multiple collaboration or data sources
- House of worship IMAG systems combining program, confidence, and lyrics feeds
- University lecture capture systems showing multiple presentation sources
- Live event production with simultaneous program, replay, and graphics monitoring

Frequently Asked Questions
Can the C2-6104A display HDMI sources with HDCP content protection?
Yes. All five DVI-U inputs and the DVI-I output are fully HDCP compliant, so protected HDMI content from Blu-ray players, cable boxes, and similar devices is supported across all windows.
How does the cascade input work for expanding window count?
The fifth input can receive the DVI-I output from a second C2-6104A unit. This feeds the second unit's four-window output as a single scaled window (or background) in the first unit's layout, effectively providing eight sources on one display from two units.
Can window sizes and positions be saved and recalled quickly?
Yes. Up to ten complete layout presets are stored in non-volatile memory and recalled directly from the front panel or via RS-232/Ethernet commands, making it practical for live switching between multiple display configurations.
Does the unit support analog component (YPbPr) sources?
Yes. DVI-A inputs via the DVI-U connector accept RGBHV, RGBS, RGsB, and YPbPr analog signals. An HD-15 or breakout adaptor is required for non-DVI connector types.
Is the C2-6104A compatible with Crestron or AMX control systems?
Yes. The RS-232/422/485 and Ethernet interfaces follow a documented API compatible with Crestron, AMX, and other third-party control systems. The CORIO Tool Suite provides PC-based setup and configuration.
What is the maximum output resolution?
The DVI-I output supports DVI-D resolutions up to 1920x1200@60 Hz and 1080p. Custom output resolutions can be added using the available CORIO Tool Suite software.
