Product Overview
The tvONE C2-2375A is a broadcast-grade universal scaler and bidirectional 3G/HD/SD-SDI converter built on tvONE's CORIO2 processing engine. It accepts SD-SDI, HD-SDI, and 3G-SDI inputs alongside DVI, composite, YC, and component analog signals, and outputs the same range at the target resolution. Designed for rack-mounted 1RU deployment, the C2-2375A suits broadcast studios, post-production facilities, and large-venue AV installations where precise up/down/cross conversion between SDI and other formats is required.
Product Description

The C2-2375A provides high-quality bidirectional conversion between a wide variety of analog and digital video formats using tvONE's exclusive CORIO2 technology. A single 3G/HD/SD-SDI input with re-clocked loop-through feeds one of the unit's processing paths, while two DVI inputs and two analog inputs (CV/YC/YUV/YPbPr) cover PC and legacy video sources. On the output side, the unit simultaneously drives two SDI outputs (duplicated), two DVI outputs, and two analog outputs, with the second DVI and analog output independently configurable to a different format and resolution. The CORIO2 engine supports up, down, and cross conversion with NTSC, PAL, PAL-M, PAL-N, and SECAM standards, plus temporal interpolation for frame-rate conversion and pixel-level motion-adaptive diagonal interpolation for de-interlacing. Pixel-level Chromakey and Lumakey, Picture-in-Picture, and seamless cut/fade/wipe transitions make the C2-2375A suitable for live production environments. Integral audio switching routes embedded audio from HDMI-compatible DVI or SDI inputs to DVI and SDI outputs, with an optional Audio Module adding AES I/O and audio delay. Control is available via front-panel push buttons, RS-232/422/485, or IP, with Windows Control Panel software and third-party control system compatibility. All settings are stored in non-volatile memory and ten user-defined presets allow rapid recall. An optional redundant internal PSU and optional Tally and Clock modules extend the unit's suitability for broadcast environments.
Key Features
- Bidirectional 3G/HD/SD-SDI Conversion — Accepts one 3G/HD/SD-SDI input with re-clocked loop-through and outputs two duplicated 3G/HD/SD-SDI signals, enabling integration with both SDI broadcast infrastructure and non-SDI display systems.
- Up/Down/Cross Conversion — CORIO2 engine converts signals between SD, HD, and PC resolutions with analog output up to 2048x2048 and DVI output up to 1920x1200 at 1080p/60.
- Dual Independent Outputs — The second DVI and analog output can be set to a different format and resolution from the primary output, serving two display targets simultaneously from a single unit.
- Temporal Interpolation — Frame-rate conversion analyzes and merges successive frames, reducing judder when converting between 50 Hz and 60 Hz sources.
- Motion-Adaptive De-interlacing — Pixel-level diagonal interpolation and noise reduction handle PAL, NTSC, and 1080i interlaced sources correctly.
- 4:4:4 Full Bandwidth Sampling — Full chroma sampling for RGB sources ensures accurate color reproduction for graphics-intensive content.
- Keying and PIP — Chromakey, Lumakey, and Picture-in-Picture modes are available for on-air graphics, overlay, and multi-source presentations.
- Integral Audio Routing — Audio from HDMI-compatible DVI or SDI inputs is switchable to DVI and SDI outputs, with an optional AES module for professional audio breakout and delay.
- Genlock — SD and HD-compatible genlock with Subcarrier phase adjust synchronizes the unit to an external reference for broadcast timing.
- AutoSet — Automatically sizes and positions computer-source images on the output display, eliminating manual geometry adjustments.
- RS-232/422/485 and IP Control — Native serial and Ethernet interfaces allow integration with AMX, Crestron, and other third-party control systems.
- Optional Redundant PSU — An internal redundant power supply option provides failover protection for mission-critical installations.
Typical Applications
- Broadcast studio SDI-to-DVI format conversion and signal distribution
- Post-production facilities requiring up/down/cross conversion between SDI and analog formats
- Large-venue live events requiring SDI signal integration with non-SDI display systems
- House of worship video systems bridging SDI cameras to HDMI/DVI projectors or screens
- Boardrooms and command centers requiring simultaneous multi-format outputs

Frequently Asked Questions
Can the C2-2375A convert 3G-SDI to HDMI?
The C2-2375A outputs DVI, which is electrically compatible with HDMI. A passive DVI-to-HDMI cable or adapter is required; the unit does not include an HDMI connector directly. Audio embedded in the SDI or HDMI-compatible DVI input is preserved on the DVI output.
Does the unit support both SD-SDI and 3G-SDI on the same input?
Yes. The single SDI input auto-detects and accepts SD-SDI (SMPTE 259M), HD-SDI (SMPTE 292M), and 3G-SDI (SMPTE 424M) signals. The re-clocked loop-through output mirrors the incoming SDI signal regardless of the scaler's output format.
Can the two outputs be set to different formats simultaneously?
Yes. The primary DVI and analog outputs operate at the scaled resolution. The second DVI output and second analog output can each be independently set to a different video format and resolution from the primary outputs.
What control systems are compatible with the C2-2375A?
The unit provides RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, and Ethernet (IP) interfaces. tvONE publishes a full API for third-party control systems including AMX, Crestron, and Extron. The included Windows Control Panel software covers configuration and preset management.
Is the redundant PSU user-installable?
The optional redundant internal PSU is available as a factory-fit option or can be added post-purchase. Check with Creation Networks at creationnetworks.net for availability and installation requirements for your specific unit.
What is the warranty on the C2-2375A?
tvONE products are covered by a standard manufacturer warranty. Contact Creation Networks for current warranty terms and extended coverage options.
