The TOA RS-160 is an indoor vandal-resistant intercom sub-station designed for commercial and institutional environments where durability and security are priorities. It provides half-duplex audio communication via a 4 cm (1.57") speaker and a single vandal-resistant call button. The 11-gauge stainless steel faceplate resists physical damage, making it suitable for schools, correctional facilities, government buildings, healthcare facilities, and other high-traffic areas requiring rugged intercom endpoints.
Product Description
The RS-160 mounts in a standard US dual-gang flush or wall mount electrical box, simplifying installation in new construction and retrofit projects. Wiring uses shielded cable (3-conductor) for reliable audio communication with the intercom master station. The recessed call button design and heavy-gauge stainless steel faceplate provide both tamper resistance and a professional appearance. Half-duplex operation ensures clear, full-attention communication between the sub-station and the master unit. The RS-160 is compatible with TOA shielded twisted pair (STP) intercom systems.
