Product Overview
The TOA RS-180 is a vandal-resistant, panic-call sub-station designed for emergency use in conjunction with the TOA N-8000 Series IP intercom system. Built for outdoor installation, it features a heavy-duty stainless steel faceplate and connects via two-core shielded cable, making it well-suited for secure building perimeters, parking structures, and remote emergency call points where durability and reliability are essential.
Product Description
When an occupant presses the RS-180's call button, it initiates contact with the registered N-8000 Series master stations and holds the open collector output active until the conversation ends—ensuring the call cannot be accidentally dismissed. The unit supports half-duplex communication with an internal 4 cm cone-type speaker, and its open collector output can trigger an external alarm light or siren to alert responders visually. Transmission distances of up to 1.3 km over 0.9 mm wire make the RS-180 practical for large campus and perimeter deployments. Its operating temperature range of −10°C to +50°C covers the majority of North American outdoor environments.
