The TOA RM-300X is a remote microphone and paging console for the VX-3000 Integrated Voice Evacuation System. It provides direct operator control of zone-based emergency announcements from any designated location in a building. Thirteen function switches allow independent selection of individual zones or zone groups, while LED indicators confirm active broadcast status in real time. The unit includes a built-in PCM chime source, an adjustable monitor speaker, and an AUX input for external microphones or audio sources.
The RM-300X connects to the VX-3000 frame via a single shielded cable and can be expanded with up to seven RM-210F remote microphone extension units, each adding ten additional zone switches to extend coverage in large facilities. Designed for 24 V DC operation supplied directly from the voice evacuation system, the RM-300X requires no separate power supply under standard installation. Per TOA specifications, system operational training is mandatory for the installation team.

- Does the RM-300X work only with the VX-3000 system? Yes. It is designed exclusively for use with the TOA VX-3000 Integrated Voice Evacuation System and requires connection to a VX-3000 control unit frame for operation.
- How many zones can be controlled? The RM-300X has 13 built-in function switches. With up to 7 RM-210F expansion units (10 switches each), total zone switching capacity reaches up to 83 positions.
- Is a separate power supply required? No. Under normal installation the RM-300X draws 24 V DC power directly from the VX-3000 frame. The optional AD-246 power supply unit is available if a separate DC source is required.
- What microphone does the unit use? The RM-300X includes a built-in gooseneck microphone. An external condenser microphone (with 3 V phantom power) can also be connected via the 3.5 mm mic input jack.
- Is installer training required? Yes. TOA specifies that system operational training is mandatory for the installation team prior to commissioning the RM-300X.
