The TOA M-01ST microphone input module adds a transformer-balanced microphone input to any 900 Series mixer-amplifier or modular preamplifier. Built around a screw-terminal connector, this 900 series microphone input module suits permanent commercial installations where a paging mic, gooseneck, or other balanced source must be wired directly into the chassis. Switchable phantom power lets the module drive condenser microphones, while onboard gain and tone controls match levels to the rest of the system.
Product Description
The M-01ST plugs into a single module slot on a TOA 900 Series host such as the A-900 series mixer-amplifiers or M-900 modular preamplifier. Its transformer-balanced input rejects common-mode noise across long microphone cable runs, which makes it well suited to distributed audio and paging systems in larger buildings. The screw-terminal connector lets integrators terminate field wiring cleanly without soldering connectors, a practical advantage during rack assembly and service. Selectable phantom power supports both dynamic and condenser microphones from the same slot, and the gain trim plus tone control allow each input to be balanced against music and other program sources feeding the host. Because the module conditions the signal before it reaches the amplifier stage, it helps maintain consistent speech intelligibility in constant-voltage 70/100 V distribution systems. The M-01ST is a direct-fit upgrade or spare for systems already standardized on the 900 Series platform.
