Product Description
Outdoor and semi-outdoor announcement coverage calls for a speaker that resists weather while remaining intelligible, and the CS-64 is designed for exactly that role. It uses a 12 cm (4.72 in) cone treated for weather resistance equivalent to IEC IPX4, housed in an ABS enclosure finished with UV-resistant paint to withstand prolonged sun exposure. A built-in transformer with multiple taps supports 100 V operation at 1, 3, and 6 W and 70 V operation at 0.5, 1.5, 3, and 6 W, set with a convenient rotary switch. This constant-voltage flexibility lets installers balance many speakers across a long line and rebalance later without rewiring. The wide 100-degree horizontal and vertical dispersion spreads sound evenly over walkways, courtyards, and loading areas. Designers specify it for paging and background music in parking structures, transit areas, and building exteriors. Because it reproduces a wide frequency range, it handles both voice announcements and music programs.
