The plug-in format makes it straightforward to expand input capacity in a commercial audio system without replacing the host unit. Onboard gain control sets the module's level to match the connected source.
Product Description
Modular TOA amplifiers and mixers use plug-in input modules so a system can be configured for the exact sources on site. The U-01S provides one unbalanced line input on a removable 3-pole terminal block, which is the preferred termination for permanent, screw-down wiring in distributed audio installations. 
Its 220 kilohm input impedance suits line-level sources such as media players, mixers, and tuners, and the gain control trims the signal across a -30 to 0 dB range. The module draws 24 V DC from the host main frame, so no separate power supply is required. A wide 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response and low distortion keep program audio clean through the signal chain. Because the connector is a removable block, technicians can pre-wire field cabling and plug it in during commissioning. The compact module fits a single 900 Series input slot and weighs only a few grams.
