The TOA HY-TB1 is a tile bar bridge that supports TOA ceiling speakers across the rails of a suspended T-bar ceiling. It carries the speaker load on the ceiling grid rather than on the acoustic tile, as required by most commercial installation codes. The bridge is a standard accessory for distributed ceiling speaker systems.
Product Description
The HY-TB1 tile bar bridge spans two ceiling-grid T-bars to provide a secure support point for a TOA ceiling speaker and its back can. Transferring the load to the structural rails keeps the installation safe and serviceable and prevents a speaker's weight from resting on the ceiling tile. This is a common requirement for commercial AV projects that must satisfy local mechanical and life-safety codes. Integrators fit the bridge during rough-in so the speaker sits centered and flush within the tile. It works with standard TOA ceiling speaker mounting hardware. This is a mounting component only and does not include a speaker or back can.
