Product Overview

The TOA ER-1206 is a 6W battery-powered handheld megaphone rated IPX5 for splash-proof outdoor use. It delivers twice the amplifier output of the ER-1203, extending usable announcement range for larger outdoor events, sports fields, construction sites, emergency response operations, and crowd management scenarios. A neodymium magnet driver provides efficient SPL output per watt, and a built-in battery-saving circuit extends field battery life between changes.

IPX5 protection allows the ER-1206 to operate in rain and water-exposed environments with confidence. The directional microphone reduces ambient noise pickup in crowd environments, and the push-to-talk trigger enables hands-free carry between announcements. Power comes from six R6P (AA) batteries, which are widely available for field replacement without specialized equipment.

Product Description

TOA ER-1206 6W Splash-Proof Handheld Megaphone Dark Gray

The ER-1206 shares the same pistol-grip, forward-facing bell form factor as the ER-series family and is finished in dark gray. At 6W output, it projects speech announcements clearly over ambient noise at outdoor events, on sports fields, at construction sites, and in emergency operations. The battery-saving circuitry reduces power draw during quiet periods, extending operating time between battery replacements—an important consideration for extended events and emergency preparedness kits where fresh batteries may not be immediately available.

Key Features

  • IPX5 splash-proof rating — Withstands sustained water jets from any direction for reliable outdoor use in rain and wet conditions.
  • 6W amplifier output — Higher power than the ER-1203 for larger outdoor venues, sports fields, and emergency response use.
  • Neodymium magnet driver — High-efficiency speaker produces strong SPL output with reduced battery drain.
  • Battery-saving circuit — Automatically reduces current draw during quiet periods, extending field battery life.
  • Directional microphone — Focuses pickup on the talker's voice, reducing crowd noise and wind interference.
  • Push-to-talk trigger — Integrated pistol-grip trigger enables one-handed operation.
  • Powered by 6× R6P (AA) batteries — Standard, widely available batteries for easy field replacement.
